What is it?

Petadolex is a standardized high potency (30:1) lipophilic extract of the rhizome (root) of the Butterbur plant (Petasites hybridis.) Each capsule contains 50 mg. Inert ingredients include riboflavin, glycerol, gelatin, sorbitol, and titanium dioxide.

Petadolex is a migraine headache prophylactic. It is anti-convulsive, pain-alleviating, and relaxing.

No side-effects have been noted. The usual cautions with pregnancy or lactation apply, of course.

Suggested Use

The subjects in the initial German study took 1 capsule twice daily with meals. A recent study showed that some individuals respond better to 150 mg (3 capsules.) The results from this study were reported at 4 months
